told the exact service quote from the service writer. Like Spddracer, there is definitely more than just removing upper plenum, 4 valve cover gaskets and plenum gasket.
The service writer told you that one was done last week for about $2k, but he didn't tell you whatelse were also done when the tech worked on it.
Injectors and PCVs might have been serviced or replaced,
and hoses, vacumn lines, water lines, balance tube orings, IC->TB hoses could have been deteriorated and needed replacement. I would rather tell the owner these possible parts to max the quote than under quoting,
and if I were the tech to work on it, I would advise and quote you to replace those lil lines coz I don't want any come back from the customers. So, either you get a closer look at or get a better explained quote, but remember tho, that will still be a prelimanary quote
